Normally this column space would be dedicated to publishing letters and comments from our readers on any one of our segments. For our premiere issue, I decided to make use of this space for much highly needed acknowledgments and expressions of appreciation.
Firstly I need to thank Ms. Jody Scott, Public Relations Manager at Porsche North America. She was instrumental in helping us kick-off our first issue and highly supportive throughout the preparation of our cover story. I also need to express my deepest thanks to Ms. Abby Zemel at Fox Pictures’ publicity department who acted above board in providing us with media kits, thanks Abby!!!
Second, I would like to acknowledge the efforts of our staff, our contributors and correspondents, especially
the valiant efforts of our Senior Marketing Director,
Frank, without whom this magazine would not have
made it from concept to production. Thank you Frank!
Personally I would like to thank my family for their
consistent and unwavering support, for their insights and thoughtful comments, for putting up with me through all the madness. I am grateful for my parents, my siblings, especially my sister Rafaella and her kind words of encouragement when I needed it most, to my colleague’s nephew, Danny, who has inspired in me so many ideas and has been a joy to have around, many more thanks to several close relatives and friends, you know who you are!!!
I also would like to thank a number of nameless individuals whom I met through Providence during the last five years who knowingly or unwittingly have inspired me and provided me with ideas and concepts during the course of casual conversations and in the heat of arguments I had with them. Whoever said that strong, heated verbal arguments are uncivilized is clueless about the creative process. Most of these individuals I will never know their names but many I have their faces engraved in my memory and to whom I will be forever grateful.
Without much ado I would like to welcome you dear reader to our family and to our first issue of the West Coast Midnight Run. While we worked hard to impress you we do know with certainty that our best work is yet to come. So we humbly welcome your constructive comments and criticism and we hope that the ensuing issues will provide an even more memorable reading experience.
