A far cry from Get Smart with Maxwell Smart and Agent 99, yet some of the charm must have made it onto this production with the pairing of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz.
Knight and Day is an action adventure film that reunites the co-stars of Vanilla Sky (sans Penelope Cruze) in a story that has shades of Mission Impossible and Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
From the early publicity leaks this action spy drama appears to have absorbed a strong dose of comedy, something both leads have ably handled before. Diaz has starred in There is Something About Mary and Cruise has been in Risky Business.
Agent Miller (Cruise) falls in love, more like smitten, with blind date June Havens that he unintentionally draws into his circle of intrigue and powerplay as he outwits his colleagues and government agents out to re-integrate a “rogue agent”.
