Sweet, tart and rich in Vitamin C, the Marula fruit has about 800% of what you will consume in an orange. Marula is used to create wine, which is double distilled and aged in small oak barrels for two years to craft a clear spirit with vanilla and roast flavors.
Compared to Bailey’s Irish Creme which is made with aged whiskey, Amarula perfectly matches the Emerald Isles’ preferred liqueur in alcohol content. Its caramel taste is lighter, its fruit flavor soft, perhaps a little sweeter and with the smallest hint of a tart finish.
Amarula easily offers its connoisseur a dizzying variety of cocktail mixers that are ideal for parties and winding down, in addition to all the recipes you have enjoyed with your Irish Bailey’s.
