Miley Cyrus – The Newest Pop Princess to Challenge Gaga and Rihanna

We're not sure what the noise is all about. Miley Cyrus did a 180 with her career and the media is doing cartwheels. With a new platinum blonde color that combines the sexy yesterdays of Marilyn Monroe and a short hairdo that brings notions of cutting edge Annie Lennox and Sinead O'Connor in their heydays, Miley Cyrus has made a huge leap with her career and made sure those that kept thinking of her as the living personification of Hannah Montana never would.

You cannot call Miley Cyrus’ style outré, this label has already been reserved for Lady Gaga.

The punch line? Interviews with Miley quote her as wanting to be the provocateur or ride the wave with the next provocateur – who ever the hell that may be.

Does this comment remind me of any pop culture send up?

James Bond in Skyfall (2012) sits around at a hearing to ascertain his fitness for resuming service with MI6 and gives the adjective provocateur as a synonym for government agent however just to be clear, outré is defined as outrageous, provocative in English or provovateur in French.
