The 2013 GM Corvette ZR1 Presented by West Coast Midnight Run

The GM Corvette is one of America’s most beloved sports cars, on competing terms with the most powerful muscle cars and considered by some as a super car of sorts able to match power and agility with the likes of Porsche, Lamborghini and Ferrari; at the very least the low-end models.

The ZR1’s styling is a hybrid between the 1990s Honda NSX and Ferrari’s 458 Italia. The ZR1 is fitted with a supercharged intercooled V-8 6.2 L all-aluminum engine with titanium rods and intake valves that yields 638 bhp coupled to a six-speed manual shifter resulting in a top speed of 205 mph.

The ZR1 can outdo this year’s Mustang Boss 302 in the 0-60 straight line acceleration, on average by 0.7 sec.

The interior speaks refinement and power from every detail, including leather trim all around, a digital heads up display, analog cluster panel, Magnetic Selective Ride Control, aluminum chassis with carbon fiber panels, ZF-Sachs dual clutch and carbon ceramic brake rotors with twice the contact area as the previous model. The entire package is suited with a BOSE premium sound system with nine speakers, bluetooth connect and Sirius XM satellite radio.

This Corvette ZR1 coupe goes from as little as $112,600 MSRP with 14/21 City/Highway mpg although the low-end 2013 Corvette 427 Limited Edition and the stylish 2014 Stingray start from about half at roughly $76,000 and $62,000 MSRP.
