2013 Ford Mustang GT and Boss 320 Series Presented by West Coast Midnight Run

The traditional muscle cars have never been stronger and still the wind of change is blowing. There is so much going on with Mustang and Ford Motor Company this year. For starters it's the 50th birthday anniversary of the Mustang and Ford is celebrating big in Las Vegas and Charlotte North Carolina - at the speedway.

The next year's model will bid adieu to the current styling, which in tandem with Chrysler's PT Cruiser started an art deco/retro classical revival that's been going strong for almost a decade.

The current styling of Mustang and the marriage of the concept with the durability and reliability of Mazda Motor Co., many feared would bring an end to the beloved icon of American motoring, has been responsible for bringing back an ailing model that was due for retire

ment and for spurring on its cousins, the Camaro and the Charger in following suit. Ford is planning on dramatically changing the styling and given the quality and pricing point of the Mustang has been steadily creeping upwards, next year's model will be doing a first, being marketed in Europe against luxury and exotic sports models from BMW and Mercedes to Alfa Romeo. The Boss is going to Europe and it ain't for a kissing contest.

The current 302 model offers 305 bhp (V6) to 444 bhp (V8), available with 6-speed manual or automatic, lots of options and an MSRP starting from $42,000 with 16/26 mpg estimate. These performance figures do not include the top of the line Mustang Shelby GT 500 with a 5.8 L supercharged engine.
